- Measurement of the performance characteristics at inherent machine speed, in particular obtaining the following data at different
Fluid flow rates:
Fluid pressure changes between the inlet and outlet of the machine
Motor input power (or input for turbines)
Rotational speed
Overall machine efficiencies
Estimated hydraulic efficiencies
Measurement of the above characteristics at constant machine speed
settings, e.g. to deduce iso-efficiencies.
Demonstration (where applicable) of the dimension-less scale-up
laws relating to flow, pressure, speed and power
Calibration of the appropriate sensors supplied for measurement of:
flow, pressure (p and dp), temperature, rotational speed and electrical power
